In the summer term of 2018 Welshpool High School was involved in a major Student Health and Wellbeing Survey.

The School Health Research Network is led by Cardiff University in partnership with Welsh Government, Public Health Wales and Cancer Research UK. Every two years, schools in the Network are invited to take part in the Student Health And Wellbeing Survey. The information collected in the survey is used to compile a Student Health and Wellbeing Report for each school.

The final report is a valuable resource for our school and supports the work we do to protect and improve our students’ health and wellbeing.

Please CLICK HERE to view a sample from the report based on some of the students’ responses. The initial pages provide background information and explain how we intend to act upon the report to help us model healthy behaviour within school, at home and within the local community. We hope that you find this information interesting and supportive. J. Loxam (Assistant Headteacher)
